PVC Gabion
Gabion cages are double-twisted hexagonal mesh boxes filled on site with stone. The structure is flexible and free-draining, so it tolerates settlement that would crack rigid concrete.
Revet mattresses (reno mattresses) are the same mesh spread over a wide, shallow plan area. Internal diaphragms keep the stone in place on slopes and under flowing water, which suits channel beds, shorelines and embankments.
