Slope Stabilization
Soil nailing has a long record of arresting slope failures in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. A failing hillside is "stapled" in place with inclined nails, each a drilled, grouted hole with a single reinforcement bar, turning the slope into one block of earth that holds back its overburden.
Because the slope stays essentially undisturbed during construction, soil nailing is practical for immediately arresting slopes, including those at risk of failing. The nails resist tension as well as bending and shear from the slip circle.

Drilled at about 100 mm diameter with a drag bit and powerful air compressor, or a soil auger. Our portable frames incline easily and fix to scaffolds or reaction frames on the slope. Corrugated ducts or galvanised nails can be used against corrosion.
Guniting
Work proceeds top-down: an excavator trims the slope, nails are installed, then the face is reinforced with BRC mesh and sprayed concrete (gunite) over steel plates.
Rock Bolts
Grouted steel bars embedded into bedrock. The sequence is similar to soil nailing, drilled with a smaller 80-100 mm down-the-hole hammer.
Horizontal Drains
Water pressure from rainfall is a main cause of slope failure. Perforated drains, 75-100 mm diameter and tilted slightly upward, release groundwater fast, cutting the slope's weight and the risk of sliding.
